Translators and interpreters are not confined to a single industry or profession;
they're indispensable in almost every field. Whether it's business negotiations, healthcare,

Today’s world is increasingly globalized with world trade, broadening international ties and a more diverse U.S. population. As a result, the need for skilled translators and interpreters has never been greater. By enrolling in our program, you'll be at the epicenter of this global shift. Not only will you acquire a strong liberal arts education, but you'll gain the expertise to bridge language divides and facilitate meaningful interactions in an ever-changing landscape.
In addition to their language of concentration, students are highly encouraged to minor in another language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Modern Hebrew, or Spanish. Coursework also includes the basics of translation theory, moral and ethical considerations, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, and technology used in translation. There are opportunities to apply your skills in service learning within the community and in other real-world scenarios.
