HERE'S WHAT TO DO FIRST
Your Z-number is located on your acceptance letter (ex. “Z12345678”). This is an important number and uniquely identifies you, so keep it nearby and store it in your phone, as you’ll need it throughout the registration process.
Use the links below to nominate an incredible student or be nominated for a Quest Whole Leader Scholarship:
Being nominated does not guarantee a candidate a scholarship. Nominees still need to qualify and complete the application process. Nominations can inform us of exceptional students not on our radar or enhance a candidate's scholarship file for full-tuition consideration.
SEE ORU FOR YOURSELF!
During this event, take a virtual tour, attend LIVE sessions where you'll get to know other students, connect with faculty, learn more about our academics and leadership opportunities.
HERE'S WHAT TO DO FOR REGISTRATION
It’s time to explore VISION and create your ORU email account. This is where you'll do everything from completing registration steps to checking grades!
- To access your VISION account, visit vision.oru.edu. If this is your first time logging in, select LOGIN WITH Z-NUMBER & PIN. Type your Z-number and PIN (your six digit birth date, mmddyy).
- To create your ORU email, click the PERSONAL INFORMATION tab. Next, select CREATE/UPDATE USERNAME, PASSWORD, AND E-MAIL ADDRESS. At the bottom of this screen, you will see an automated, preset email address. Delete
the preset address and create your own email address and password.
- Wait 5-10 minutes for this to set up, then visit mail.oru.edu to log in to your ORU email account. Be sure to check your inbox often because all email communication from ORU will be sent here.
COMPLETE THE HOUSING APPLICATION AND CHOOSE YOUR ROOM AND MEAL PLAN
Once logged in to VISION, select REGISTRATION QUICK LINKS > SELECT HOUSING.
Follow the steps in the videos below to complete the Housing Application, select your room, and choose a meal plan
Please note: If you are selecting housing prior to June, your housing status may still show as incomplete when viewing your list of Registration Steps. This will automatically update later in the summer. If you wish to view your room selection at a later time, navigate back to "Select Housing" under "Registration Quick Links" and click on "Room and Meal Plan Selection Info."
Your first semester class schedule will be created for you based on the recommended courses listed on your degree plan sheet, your acceptance status and any ACT/SAT test scores, CLEP results, AP results, and any transfer credits currently on file.
Once your schedule is created, you'll be notified by email and can view it at vision.oru.edu.
Please note: For those enrolling in an entry level math course, a foreign language, or plan on studying music, dance, or theatre, click here to check out these extra requirements.
If you need help understanding your schedule or you want to make changes to your schedule, please email schedule@oru.edu.
Having health insurance is not required in order to complete registration. However, we strongly recommend you have health insurance coverage. COMMON HOLDS YOU MAY SEE:
- New Student Schedule Hold: Ignore this! All it means is that we create your schedule for you! This will not prevent you from completing registration.
- Final HS Transcript/Test Score: We need to know you graduated! Send us an OFFICIAL, updated copy of your transcript directly to admissions@oru.edu. If you previously self-reported or submitted an unofficial copy of your test score, we need one directly from ACT or SAT. Please visit their website to access this option.
- Student Health Hold: Schedule your physical and TB test today! You will need to print ORU's medical assesment form and bring it to your appointment for your physician to fill out. Additionally, please turn in your immunization records including a TB Skin Test (must be within 1 year prior to active enrollment). Submit both of these to the Secure Document Upload on VISION.
Federal regulation requires us to maintain current and accurate address information for every student. To ensure this, your address information must be re-entered every spring, summer, and fall to complete registration.
Please note: This step cannot be completed for fall semesters until June 1.
- Once logged in to VISION, select REGISTRATION QUICK LINKS > REGISTRATION STEPS/ONLINE BOOKSTORE >TERM OF ENTRY (e.g., FALL 2022).
- Click INCOMPLETE next to ADDRESS VERIFICATION in your REGISTRATION STEPS.

Your balance includes tuition, fees, housing and food. To see if you have a remaining balance, follow the steps below:
- Once logged in to VISION, select REGISTRATION QUICK LINKS > REGISTRATION STEPS/ONLINE BOOKSTORE > TERM OF ENTRY (e.g., FALL 2022).
- Look to the right of the step the item labeled BALANCE DUE. If it says NO, you are able to complete all of your registration steps.
- If a dollar amount is listed, that's the remaining balance due. You may pay off your balance using verifiable financial aid, a monthly payment plan, cash, check, credit card, money order, or wire transfer. You may make a payment through VISION using the links listed below your registration steps. If you are an International student, we recommend Fly Wire which offers payment options with guaranteed low rates for currency conversion.
Please note: Students have the option to set up a monthly payment plan that divides your outstanding balance into monthly installments without charging interest. This plan is not financing and does not affect credit. To set up a monthly payment plan, locate the Payment Options listed underneath your registration steps on Vision. Select Option 1 "Enroll in a Monthly Payment Plan."
