Lucky Wakantse Odirile is an Associate Professor in Counselor Education and Supervision and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has an extensive track record in Marriage and Family, Peer training and Peer Advising, HIV and AIDS Curriculum integration, Substance Drug and Alcohol Abuse and Dynamics of Addiction Intervention Skills, Multicultural and Retrenchment Counseling, General Wellness as well as Youth General and Advanced Leadership Skills. Her roles in Education include teaching, counseling, curriculum development, grant and proposal writing, involvement in initiation, implementation and evaluation of a number of student affairs policies. She has served in different Botswana National Boards such as LEA and KDM Global Group. Odirile chaired a number of committees in Student Affairs such as 2020-2021 coordination of Covid 19 Psychosocial and Mental Health front liners support team, Sexual Harassment, Curriculum Integration of HIV and AIDS and Substance Drug and Alcohol abuse.
She has won a number of international awards including the 2022 Ohio University Globally engaged, 2019 and 2015 Glidden Visiting Professorship, 2014 HIV and AIDS Champion, 2009 George E. Hill, and the 2009 Trend setter. She has been a lecturer, a tutor and an administrator. She held positions such as Deputy Director, Director and Dean of Student Affairs.
Odirile ‘s ministry is centered around the needy, hopeless and helpless. She has embarked in a lot of orphans and vulnerable children projects such as advocating for the orphanages, the orphans and the refugees. Her advocacy focuses on educating those who love education but do not have the resources. Today, many have benefited from such projects. Odirile is married to Craff Odirile and they have been blessed with four children and five grandchildren. They have raised countless orphans.
