Unprecedented Growth
Building off 15 years of consecutive enrollment growth, the ORU campus continues to
grow as well with the first phase of the Whole Leaders for the Whole World Campaign,
which includes the construction of four new state-of-the-art buildings. As with all
of the new ORU buildings, construction will be completed debt-free and without usage
of any tuition dollars.
Biological Sciences Center
The Biological Sciences Center represents ORU's dedication to creating innovative
spaces that empower students on their academic journey. The newly renovated 27,000-square-foot
facility contains five open-concept laboratories with open access between labs for
research, collaboration, equipment, and reagent sharing. It also houses:
- A two-story atrium designed to facilitate study and group work,
- a cadaver dissection lab,
- a lecture hall, and
- faculty research labs.
MEDIA ARTS CENTER
The new ORU Media Arts Center (MAC), home to ORU’s 72,000-square-foot theatre, dance, music, and digital media
departments. These state-of-the-art technology and teaching spaces include digital
AR/AV production studios, a music performance hall, a 450-seat proscenium arched auditorium,
and Black Box theater.
J.D. MCKEAN LIBRARY
The J.D. McKean Library will offer students contemporary resources and technology
toward their educational pursuit. ORU’s Holy Spirit Research Center will also be located
in the new library and house one of the largest and most comprehensive Pentecostal-Charismatic
and Holy Spirit collections in the world.
MIKE CARTER ATHLETIC CENTER
ORU Athletics is also experiencing exciting new growth with the Mike Carter Athletic Center (MCAC) adjacent to the Mabee Center. This facility houses two full-size practice
courts, administrative and coaches' offices, along with a 10,000-square-foot indoor
sports performance area. The Eli Academic Center, also housed within the MCAC, includes
individual and group study areas and dedicated team rooms.
Fenimore & Fisher College of Business
The Fenimore & Fisher College of Business is proud to offer a Capital Markets Trading
Floor as the newest addition to the Graduate Finance Program. This cutting-edge classroom
has been developed hand-in-hand with a student-managed investment fund and a Practicum
in Portfolio Management.
ORU WELCOME CENTER
ORU’s Welcome Center stands at the campus entrance as an introduction to ORU. It will house ORU’s enrollment
team and feature the new Veterans Experience Office, serving as a liaison and advisor
to military-affiliated students.
ORU has made extensive additions and improvements to its campus in the last five years.
Construction of the Global Learning Center, the Nursing and Engineering Complex, the
Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship and Niko Njotorahardjo Hall have all been completed.
Niko Njotorahardjo Hall
Opened in 2019, Niko Njotorahardjo Hall was the first new student housing constructed
on ORU’s campus since 1976. This apartment-style residence was funded entirely by
donors and built completely debt-free, with no tuition dollars used. The hall is a
state-of-the-art home away from home for our students from down the street and around
the world, with separate wings for men and women and suites that feature kitchenettes,
private baths, high-speed internet and wi-fi, and washers/dryers. Upscale dorm rooms
are located on the top floor.
Nursing and Engineering Complex
In early 2019, ORU purchased and repurposed this 100,000-square-foot facility and
its attendant 14,000-square-foot warehouse, transforming them into a new home for
the Anna Von College of Nursing and the ORU School of Engineering. The space allows
these two programs to deepen their technological proficiencies, reach a wider array
of learners, and graduate students who will have both an immediate and lasting impact
on their respective fields.
Students who take classes in the NEC can also take advantage of a University-provided
shuttle that travels regularly between the new facility and the Hammer Center.
The Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship
Seeded by a generous $1 million donation from ORU alumni Jim and Crystal Stovall,
along with the Tulsa Community Foundation, this new Center will allow ORU to attract
and retain students with exceptional abilities to create new business concepts, start-up
incubators, accelerators, and launchpads, among many other initiatives, to provide
the essential knowledge, skills, and ethics needed to equip ORU students to engage
the world’s biggest challenges with God’s best solutions.
The Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship resides within the College of Business and
is housed in the Nursing and Engineering Complex.
John and Cheryl Clerico Golf Complex
A technological marvel that houses ORU’s golf team, the new Golf Complex includes
the Bill Brogden Golf Performance Center (which features four hitting bays, simulator,
putting green with PuttView technology, and an area for strength conditioning) and
the Bob Canada Short Game Facility (which features a putting green and chipping range
that has three greens to target).
In addition, the Golf Complex also houses a players clubhouse, a players lounge, coaches
offices, and a film area, as well as an area highlighting the performances and accomplishments
of former student-athletes and coaches.
