Don Dunfee, MPH, graduated from ORU in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Health and
Exercise Science. Today, he is a strategic healthcare executive with the University
of Washington in Seattle who embodies the transformative power of ORU’s whole-person
education. Leading major healthcare programs at UW Medicine, Don has driven significant
advancements in patient care and strategic growth, reflecting his commitment to healthcare
excellence and community service. His leadership aligns perfectly with ORU’s mission
to “develop leaders through whole-person education to impact the world.”
A forward-thinking leader known for his insightful ability to inspire and connect
across a spectrum of professional and personal backgrounds, Don aims to bring his
collaborative spirit and innovative mindset to the Alumni Board. He envisions fostering
partnerships that bolster ORU’s global impact, driving initiatives that bridge healthcare
and spirituality, and nurturing a robust alumni network to support future leaders,
extending ORU’s mission “…to the ends of the earth.”
Outside of his professional endeavors, Don enjoys an active lifestyle; continually
seeking ways to enhance his well-being through nutrition, fitness, and ongoing learning.
Don, his wife Cara (2009), and their daughter Gianna cherish their family time and
are dedicated to living out the university’s values, passing on ORU’s legacy.
