ORU provides a unique opportunity to every student: the ability to grow spiritually while you grow academically. Whether it's through our lively twice-weekly chapel services, powerful worship, abundant missions opportunities, the leadership-developing chaplain program, or the dynamic and organic prayer movement, you will be molded and challenged to embody completely who God has created you to be.
Worship Team
ORU Worship exists to raise up Christ-filled worshippers who exude a lifestyle of adoration to the Father, demonstrate a heart of obedience to His voice, and advance His Kingdom through prayer and singers. It's an artistic community that hears the voice of God and expresses what He's saying through music, using creative gifts to minister to others and, in turn, find their own lives transformed. Easily the highlight of the week for many ORU students, our chapel services offer the rare opportunity for everyone—students and professors alike—to take time out of their busy schedules, gather together, worship the Lord with vibrant and groundbreaking live music, and hear a challenging word from ORU President Dr. William M. Wilson and a deep roster of world-renowned guest speakers like Michael Todd, Heidi Baker, Samuel Rodriguez, and LaDonna Osborn. Chapel is an experience unlike any other.

Missions
A strategic, short-term investment into a long-term Kingdom work, ORU Missions and Outreach offers ORU students opportunities for short-term foreign missions trips to a vast array of countries, as well as outreach opportunities within reach of ORU's Tulsa campus. It's a way to make a tangible difference in the lives of others, and it's woven into the fabric of life at ORU.

What began just a few years ago as a few people praying together has become a full-fledged movement in the Prayer Tower on the ORU Campus. Six days a week, ORU students gather for over seven hours of continuous, student-led prayer and worship. It's a central, key aspect of ORU's culture that helps our students know Jesus better.

ORU is about developing leaders, and our Chaplain Leadership Program is a key component in developing spiritual leadership. This program is comprised of student leaders who have a deep desire to cultivate their spiritual growth even further by becoming a spiritual leader on the floor of their residence hall. Working in tandem with their Resident Advisor, the Chaplain meets the needs of the students on their floors through servant leadership, relationship-building, and facilitating spiritual growth and encouragement.
