Your Step-by-Step Guide to Applying to ORU

Important Deadlines
- Fall Entry: Complete your application by May 1.
- Spring Entry: Complete your application by December 15.

FIRST YEAR STUDENTS
You can complete your application through ORU's application portal or the Common Application.
- Passport Biological Page
- Send a picture of the page that contains the passport number, your full name, date of birth, etc. to your Admissions Representative
- Financial Guarantee Form
- Download and complete the Financial Guarantee form. Read carefully the instructions and complete
this form accurately before
you send it to your
Admissions Representative. - Make sure you have:
- The signature of the applicant with the understanding of the cost of education.
- The signature of the guarantor with the understanding of the cost of education.
- Bank statements of the guarantor no older than six months OR a letter from the bank on bank letterhead with a bank representative’s signature that verifies the financial ability of the guarantor.
- Note: If the Bank Account holder is a business account, make sure the letter states
that the guarantor has unrestricted access to the account.
- The bank statement needs to show a balance for the total cost of education minus your scholarship offer.
- Download and complete the Financial Guarantee form. Read carefully the instructions and complete
- Pay your non refundable Enrollment Fee
- High School Transcripts:
- If your high school was outside the U.S., request an International Credential Evaluation through an approved service. ORU will receive the results directly.
- If your high school was in the U.S. or U.S.-accredited, request your school to send transcripts to:

- Proof of English Proficiency (Required if English is not your country’s official language):
- Duolingo English Test (Minimum score: 85) – Send results via Duolingo.
- TOEFL (Minimum scores: iBT 61, CBT 173, PBT 500) – Use ORU’s code: #6552.
- IELTS (Minimum score: 6.0).
- GaoKao English (Minimum score: 115).
ORU will notify you about your admission decision and scholarship eligibility via email.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
You can complete your application through ORU's application portal or the Common Application.
If you studied at a university in the U.S.:
- Complete the SEVIS Transfer Request Form.
- Ensure compliance with all F-1 visa requirements.
- Request your university to send official transcripts to ORU.
If you studied at a university outside the U.S.:
- Submit a Course-by-Course Evaluation (required if you have 15+ college credit hours after high school). IEE will assess your transcripts for U.S. academic equivalency.
ORU will notify you about your admission decision and scholarship eligibility via email.
